Adedeji Adeniran is the Director of Research at the Center for the Study of the Economies of Africa, which is based in Abuja Nigeria. He directly leads the centre’s research in digitalization, education and tobacco control. Dr Adedeji Adeniran has been working in the area of international development for more than a decade with specific expertise in the areas of education, poverty analysis, sustainable development and digital economy. Adedeji is a mixed-methods researcher with vast experience in leading policy-oriented, multi-year and multi-country research projects on social and economic development in Africa.
Adedeji ihas a Bachelor’s Degree in Education Management and Economics and Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan. He proceeds to the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa for is PhD in Economics where he applied behavioural and experimental economic technique to policy modelling. He also has a diploma in Mathematics and Statistics and has undergone advance professional training in impact evaluation (with UN-WIDER), field experiment (with J-PAL) and DSGE Modelling (Quantum Global Research Lab). He has participated in notable global and local initiatives for Education Comission, UN office of South South Cooperation, UNDP, World Bank, CBN, IDRC among others.
